One thing that keeps coming back to me is the idea of not settling for less, like Bill Johnson so nicely summed it up..
"i CANNOT live, sitting on the sidelines and hearing about it, knowing that all that is available for me"
Here is a verse i put on my bed frame, which is the first thing I see every morning (well it is positioned so i do, sometimes i jump/fall outta bed too fast to see it :D)
anyway it is this:
John 10v10 I came that you may have life and have it abundantly
sometimes i just forget that i am called to LIVE ABUNDANTLY. so this helps remind me :)
it helps challenge me, what does it look like to have a life that is lived in abundance?
i reckon living abundantly is much dependent upon the little things that happen in a day.
Hmm my abundant moments of the day would be meeting someone new, playing on the swings, smiling at an old lady sitting on the park bench, buying a man vest at the op shop, and making a parcel to send off to a friend.
I know i missed a lot of opportunities, but i know there are plenty ahead. werhooo! bring on the rest of the day!
